Local teen nabbed for stunt driving on Highway 12 near Warminster

Driver, 18, was going 67 kilometres per hour above the posted speed limit on Valentine's Day; His vehicle has been impounded for seven days

Valentine's Day was anything but sweet for a young Oro-Medonte man.

The 18-year-old was clocked doing 147 kilometres-per-hour in an 80 kilometre-per-hour zone on Highway 12 near Warminster.

His vehicle has been impounded for seven days and he has been charged with stunt driving, under Section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

The Orillia OPP did not release his name or any other details.
