On the evening of June 7, a search warrant was executed by the Ontario Provincial Police on William Street in the Town of Midland, which resulted in the seizure of cocaine and OxyContin.

Members of the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Southern Georgian Bay detachment, Central Region Emergency Response Team, Central Region Canine Unit and CSCU teams from Orillia, Collingwood/Huronia West detachments were involved in the investigation.

Several people were arrested at the residence. During the search, a quantity of cocaine and OxyContin was seized.

As a result of the investigation, Willard Marion, 51, of Tiny Township was charged with the following offence contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act: possession of a Schedule 1 substance (cocaine).

The accused was released on an undertaking and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on July 21.

At the scene, two additional people were arrested and processed for offences involving other active cases.
