A man is in hot water following a traffic stop in Ramara Township.

On Saturday (June 25) shortly after 10:30 p.m., Orillia OPP officers responded to "multiple driving complaints" related to a vehicle driving on Highway 12 out of Orillia toward Ramara.

Officers quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Police located an open container of alcohol and cannabis that was "accessible to the driver," noted a media release from the Orillia OPP.

The driver was arrested and taken to the Orillia detachment for further investigation.

Jason Jenereaux, 35, of Scarborough, is accused of impaired driving (alcohol and drugs), failure or refusal to comply with demand and driving a vehicle with liquor and cannabis readily available.

The accused was released on an undertaking and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on July 19 to answer the charges.

The accused's vehicle was impounded for seven days and his driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days.
