Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are attempting to locate a missing man from the Midland area.

Officers are looking for Steven William Wilkins, who is 59 years of age and has been living in Midland recently. He was last observed at a retail store on County Road 93 in Midland at 5 p.m. April 7, and friends have been trying to contact him since, without avail, and are concerned for his well-being as his absence is uncharacteristic.

He is described as a white, five feet tall, 170 pounds, stocky build, grey/brown hair, hazel eyes, unshaven and last known to be wearing a grey sweater, jeans, black winter jacket with a fanny pack.

Police and friends are asking for the public's assistance in locating Wilkins and ask that any information be provided to the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
