Mississauga woman charged with impaired driving

Police say driver was stopped in Orillia early Friday morning for a Highway Traffic Act violation

Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a Mississauga woman with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the City of Orillia.

On June 10, 2022 shortly after 3 a.m., officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act violation. Upon speaking with the driver, an impaired driving investigation was initiated. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further investigation.

As a result, Shannon McKee, age 35 of Mississauga, Ont., has been charged with:
    •    Failure or refusal to comply with demand - s. 320.15(1) CC

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear on June 28, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia. Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and she was issued an administrative drivers licence suspension for 90 days.
