A motorcyclist was hurt in a serious two-vehicle accident in downtown Orillia late Friday afternoon.
Police say a motorcycle and a vehicle collided near the corner of Colborne and West streets shortly before 5:15 p.m.
The motorcyclist was taken to Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre, says Orillia OPP Const. Brett Boniface, noting the motorcycle driver suffered life-threatening injuries.
The area remains closed while the incident is under investigation, police say.
