Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision on Highway 400 northbound, at the Highway 11 interchange in Oro-Medonte Township.
On June 13, 2022, shortly after 7 p.m., Orillia OPP, along with Oro-Medonte Township Fire and County of Simcoe Paramedics, responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 400 and Highway 11 interchange involving a motorcyclist who was ejected from a motorcycle. One person was transported to a Toronto-area hospital by Air Ornge with life-altering injuries. OPP Central Region Traffic Reconstruction Members attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
Northbound lanes of Highway 400 were closed until 11 p.m. and have since reopened.
Orillia OPP reminds all members of the motoring public to take care and stay alert while driving. The Orillia OPP request that any witnesses who have not already spoken to police or have dash cam footage of the collision, please call the Orillia OPP at 705-326-3536 or at 1-888-310-1122.
