Name released in Gill Street death investigation

On April 3, 2018 at approximately 4 a.m., members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a sudden death incident at a Gill Street address in the City of Orillia. 

Police arrived at the scene and located a 48-year-old female who was being tended to by Rama Paramedic Services. The female was then transported to an Orillia area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

The Orillia Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS) under the direction of Detective Inspector Rob Matthews of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) will be investigating this incident.

A post mortem examination is being conducted today (April 5, 2018) at the‎ Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Services (OCC-OFPS) in Toronto and the deceased has been identified as Inara Burman of Orillia.
