GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP - Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police, along with Muskoka Paramedic Services and Georgian Bay Fire responded to a single vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 400 near Lake Joseph Road in Georgian Bay Township just before 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018.

The occupants were extricated from the vehicle and one passenger, a 42-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers were airlifted to a Toronto area hospital with life altering injuries and the driver was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Highway 400 in that area was closed for several hours, however has since reopened.
