MIDLAND - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment have made an arrest in relation to the Sept. 11, 2019 robbery at the Circle K convenience store on Midland Avenue in the Town of Midland.
Police have charged 44-year-old male Jason Janes of Midland with:
- Armed Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused was held for a show cause hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Sept. 12, 2019.
Investigators are seeking one additional witness who as at the Circle K store on Midland Avenue around 2:36 a.m. on Sept. 11, 2019. This unidentified witness was wearing a purple shirt and shorts at the time.
