ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Central Region is welcoming 13 provincial constables who graduated on Thursday after completing their training at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer and the Ontario Provincial Police Academy in Orillia.
The 13 new officers, who are part of Class 496, join Central Region with diverse backgrounds and experience, and are committed to working collaboratively with our communities to prevent crime and improve public safety.
The new provincial constables have been deployed to the following detachments:
- Caledon (one officer)
- City of Kawartha Lakes (three officers)
- Collingwood (two officers)
- Dufferin (one officer)
- Haliburton Highlands (one officer)
- Huntsville (one officer)
- Northumberland (one officer)
- Orillia (three officers)

"Community engagement is at the cornerstone of policing and these officers will be an indispensable addition to our detachments to deliver exceptional frontline service and support our commitment to reduce fatalities and injuries on our roadways, waterways and trails.
