Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision which resulted in an arrest.
On Jan.19, 2021 at 6:50 p.m., police responded to a two-car motor vehicle collision on County Road 92 in Springwater Township. On arrival, police determined one of the drivers to be impaired.
Following a police investigation, Philip Moore, 29, of Orillia was arrested and charged with;
- CC 320.14(1)(b) Operation while impaired-blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on Feb. 16, 2021.
The OPP reminds motorists to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, cab, public transit, or stay overnight. Any amount of alcohol or drugs can impact your ability to make sound judgments.
