Orillia OPP is looking for two suspects in relation to a fraud investigation that began last month.
On Feb. 3, the suspects obtained a credit card at a local store and used it at numerous other businesses later in the day, Central Region OPP said in a post on X.
Anyone with information is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestopperssdm.com.
Police are reminding shoppers to be vigilant, noting there has been an increase in distraction thefts and frauds.
“For example, suspects will distract victims, saying they’ve dropped something or draw their attention away while stealing their purse or wallet from their shopping cart,” police said.
