MIDLAND - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched at 9:16 p.m. on Sept. 28, 2019 to a report of unknown persons unlawfully in an apartment on Portage Park Lane in the town of Midland. Attending officers located and removed a person found in the apartment.
Charged is Scott Barry Sylvester 31-years-old of Penetanguishene, with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused was released from police custody on a recognizance to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland on November 14, 2019 and also served a notice under the Trespass to Property Act.
