KAWARTHA LAKES - City of Kawartha Lakes emergency services personnel including officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at approximately 6:35 p.m. to a call for assistance in Oakwood.
A 10-week old male infant was found not breathing and transported to hospital. The infant was later transferred to a Toronto area hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased.
The City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate the death under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Randy Gaynor of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
