Police seek help to find robbery suspect

On Wednesday, May 03, 2018 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a Robbery in the City of Orillia.

Investigation revealed on May 02, 2018 between the hours of 9:30-10:30 pm the victim was walking on Mississaga Street between Peter and Matchadash Street. An unknown male approached and pushed the victim to the ground. The suspect fled in an unknown direction with money.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male.
  • Shaggy blonde hair.
  • Wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
  • Between the ages of 30-40.

Police are requesting the assistance of the public.

The victim believes there was a couple walking on the other side of the road having a conversation and laughing. Police would like to speak to these people or anyone else that may have witnessed this or has information regarding the circumstances surrounding this robbery.
