Police seek suspect after two teens stabbed in Wasaga Beach

WASAGA BEACH - Members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a stabbing incident in Wasaga Beach, resulting in two victims with serious injuries and the suspect at-large.

On June 17, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call for reports of two 18-year-old male victims with serious injuries on the Main Street bridge in Wasaga Beach. Simcoe County Paramedics transported both victims to local hospital and one was later airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

The initial police investigation revealed that an altercation took place between the victims and the suspect, resulting in both victims being stabbed. Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results.

The suspect is described as 17-20 years of age, white male, approximately 5'9" to 6'1" tall, curly brown hair, wearing a black sleeveless shirt. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.

Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety. More information will be released when available.
