Police seize fentanyl, cocaine, meth during Orillia drug bust

Two people are facing charges after police seized a large quantity of drugs in Orillia.

On Feb. 3 at about 2:45 p.m., Orillia OPP and the Central Region Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Laclie and Jarvis streets.

During the search, police seized 107.5 grams of fentanyl, 43 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, five grams of methamphetamine, 62 oxycodone pills, and $6,100 in Canadian currency.

Povell Tyrell, 32, of no fixed address, and Jessica Monahan, 31, of Orillia, were both charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Both were held pending a bail hearing Feb. 4.
