MUSKOKA LAKES TOWNSHIP - On Sunday June 23, 2019 at 3:20 p.m., Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police received several reports regarding a pontoon style aircraft that had crashed into trees on Tobin Island on Lake Rosseau in Muskoka Lakes Township.
Police and EMS attended and met with the two occupants of the plane and it was determined that the plane suffered a mechanical malfunction forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing.
Fortunately, the occupants escaped with only minor injuries.
