Ramara man charged with drug possession

The two men were in possession of several thousand dollars' worth of illegal drugs

BRACEBRIDGE - On Thursday May 24, 2018 members of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) made a dent in the local drug trade when they arrested and charged two men who were in possession of several thousand dollars' worth of illegal drugs.

As a result of their investigation, police have charged 31 year-old Paul Farris of Ramara with the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (cocaine) for the Purposes of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Marijuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Marijuana Concentrate) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA5(2)
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition CC92(2)

Police have also charged 42 year-old Timothy Belanger of Gravenhurst with Possession of a Schedule I substance (opioid) CDSA4(1).

Both accused parties will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 3, 2018 to answer to their charges.
