The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the owner of a sentimental item given during the recent sock drive.

On Oct. 23, 2019 the Orillia OPP hosted a sock and winter clothing drive from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Walmart on Murphy Road in Orillia.

During this initiative people gave cash donations. While counting the money it was discovered that someone had placed what appears to be a sentimental item in the donation box. The item in question is silver in colour and has writing on the back.

If you donated money on this day and are missing the item please call the Orillia OPP at 705-326-3536 or stop by the detachment located at 66 Peter Street South in Orillia during regular business hours. If you can accurately describe the item, we will gladly return it to you.
