A Severn Township resident was arrested Sunday evening after police say a theft victim chased the accused who is alleged to have stolen her purse and other items from her vehicle.
The victim flagged down a Southern Georgian Bay OPP officer on Midland Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. and provided details of the incident.
Severn Township's Eric Alexander McCue, 47, was apprehended in the area of Hugel Avenue and Bourgeois Lane, and charged with theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle. McCue is scheduled to appear in court on June 22.
