Single-vehicle crash into a tree leaves one dead in Bracebridge

BRACEBRIDGE - Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers along with Muskoka EMS responded to a single vehicle collision this morning, Oct. 15, 2019 at 7:35 a.m. on Peterson Road in Bracebridge, ON.

A nearby resident was awoken by the sound of the vehicle striking a tree and called for help.

The operator, a 57 year-old Bracebridge person, was located in the vehicle unresponsive and unfortunately lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

Peterson Road in the area of Uffington Road is currently closed to allow the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) to continue the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
