Suspect identified in Orillia shoe theft

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying a male who is a suspect in a theft from a Severn Township business.

On Jan. 6, 2019 at approximately 4:20 p.m. Orillia OPP members were called to a business on Brodie Drive in Severn with reports of a theft.  The suspect who was caught on video was seen exchanging his footwear for a new pair and left without paying.

With assistance from the public the Orillia OPP has identified the male suspect. He is a youth as defined by the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
