Tay Township bungalow destroyed by fire

TAY TOWNSHIP - On Aug. 22, 2018 at 4:39 p.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched to assist Tay Township Fire Service with traffic control at the scene of a fire at a seasonal bungalow on Woodlands Avenue in Tay Township.

From the initial scene investigation by Tay Township Fire Services, a request has been made for assistance from members of the OPP Central Region Crime Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshal's Office (OFM) in determining the cause and origin of the fire.

The fire totally destroyed the estimated $120,000 structure which was uninhabited at the time of the fire.
