Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a bomb threat made to a local high school early this morning.

On Dec. 3, 2018 police responded to reports that a message had been left at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School stating that an explosive device had been planted. 

School officials evacuated the building immediately and redirected incoming school buses prior to police arrival.

The initial investigation has been completed and no suspicious device was located. The school has since been reopened and students are returning to classes.
