Three suspects sought in assault

On Nov. 24 at 10:24 p.m, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment were dispatched to investigate a report of robbery that had occurred earlier in the day in Little Lake Park in the Town of Midland.

Attending officers, assisted by members of the OPP Central Region Crime Unit, through investigation learned that a male had been walking on Little Lake Road in the park near 6:00 p.m on Nov. 24 when he was assaulted by three unknown males. The victim was then robbed of personal property and the suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim was later transported by County of Simcoe Paramedic Services to Georgian Bay General Hospital for medical treatment for serious injuries sustained in the assault. 

Investigators are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the three male suspects. They are described as all wearing jeans, two were wearing black hoodies, running shoes and smelled of alcohol.

Anyone who may have walked along or driven along Little Lake Road in Little Lake Park between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and noticed any suspicious activity is asked to please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
