Tip helps Bracebridge OPP get fentanyl off the streets

Man faces multiple charges including possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officers received a report from a diligent member of the public who noticed a man's strange behaviour in the area of Depot Drive in Bracebridge.

Officers located the man in a nearby store and as a result of the information received and their investigation arrested and charged 43-year-old David Wylie of Muskoka Lakes Township with:

  • Possession of a schedule II substance (fentanyl) for the purposes of trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • obstruct police CC 129(a) 
  • 2 x fail to comply with recognizance CC 145(3)

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, ON for a bail hearing on Dec. 3, 2019.
