Trio of men nabbed for trying to steal vehicle parts in Severn

SEVERN - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) made arrests for theft and mischief in the Township of Severn.  

On March 24, 2020 shortly before 1 a.m., Orillia OPP members were dispatched to a call of a suspicious person at a residence on County Road 16 in the Township of Severn.  

An investigation into the circumstances led police to arrest and charge three (3) men from the Hamilton area in relation to theft of parts from a motor vehicle.   

Kyle Russell, age 21, and Jakeb Campbell, age 19, from the Hamilton area were charged with:    

  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; 
  • Mischief under $5,000 contrary to Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code; and, 
  • Theft under $5,000 contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code. 
  

Donald Condron, age 29, of Stoney Creek has been charged with:   

  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code; 
  • Mischief under $5,000 contrary to Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code;  
  • Theft under $5,000 contrary to Section 334(b) of the Criminal Code;  
  • Uttering threats contrary to Section 264.1(1) of the Criminal Code; and,  
  • Two counts of breach of probation contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.  
  

The suspects were released on a Form 10 Undertaking and set to appear next on May 26, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
