Looking back on the golden age of the YMCA in Orillia

The Orillia YMCA recieved the HI-Y plaque in 1942 from the HI-Y Fellowship of the Dominion of Canada.

Ken Thomas is seated in the centre of this 1942 photo, holding the HI-Y Club plaque. The Orillia club received this award from the HI-Y Fellowship of the Dominion of Canada having fulfilled the mandate to “create, maintain throughout the school and community high standards of Christian character.”
