Novelty 'Orillia' pennant postcards were popular in early 1900s

Campy design of these postcards from around 1915 allowed communities to personalize the pennants

Postcard Memories is a weekly series of historic postcard views and photos submitted by Marcel Rousseau.

Some were previously published by the Orillia Museum of Art and History and in the book Postcard Memories Orillia

These unique postcards are from circa 1915 and were very popular in the day.

The three pennant postcards pictured are a few of the many stock cards that were carried by postcard publishers during that time which could be imprinted with the town or city name by request.

In this case, felt fabric, with the Orillia printing, has been cut into a pennant shape and glued to these novelty cards.
