Postcard Memories is a weekly series of historic postcard views and photos submitted by Marcel Rousseau. Some were previously published by the Orillia Museum of Art and History and in the book Postcard Memories Orillia. Watch for this feature every Saturday morning.

Picnic Day, Couchiching Beach Park. This is one of many park views published by R. O. Smith, an Orillia book store. Picnic Day was a fashion event in the early 1900s. The ladies wore long gowns and flowery hats. The men also were dressed in their finest, with high collars, jackets and summer hats. A horse and wagon is seen on the park dock waiting the return of one of several boat excursions, a very popular event on a summer day in Orillia.
