Postcard Memories is a weekly series of historic postcard views and photos submitted by Marcel Rousseau. Some were previously published by the Orillia Museum of Art and History and in the book, Postcard Memories Orillia. Look for this feature every Saturday morning!

Bathing at Couchiching Beach Park, circa 1910, is a G. A. Brown photo showing the ladies’ change house at the left of the picture and the men’s building a short distance around the bay. This early photo/postcard shows a very active swimming area with two docks and a diving raft. Note the ice cream parlor chair being used as a lawn chair. George A. Brown was a photographer and painter in Orillia from 1899 to the early 1900s.
