I will always remember Gordon especially when the early morning rain falls or when I get on a jet plane. Many years ago, a group of us as young doctors formed "The On Call Band" playing the hospital and social club circuit and house parties in the GTA. We loved playing and singing from the beautiful melodies and songs which now form the Lightfoot legacy. For those fourteen years we felt that he was part of us but it was really the other way round. What a spark! What a musical icon! What a great Canadian! Thank you Gordie for reminding us what being a Canadian was and is all about. Kind regards to your wife and family and to all who took courage from your inspired and inspiring songs. Dr. Garry L Willard, Orillia

What a significant accomplishment! It clearly has required determination, perseverance and focus, as well as intellectual ability. I am sure that Danielle D'Amico's future will include further studies of this major issue of our times. How sad to see the deterioration of a loved one with any form of dementia. O! to be able to prevent the pathology.
