Value customer service? Here are the top 3 businesses in the automotive sector in Orillia

REALTOR® Kaleb Streeter recommends a few local spots that put customers first

You can learn a lot about a business by the way it treats its customers.

You might go to an establishment that is new to you, receive top-notch service and be treated so well that you’re instantly a loyal customer and would never dream of going anywhere else. You even tell your friends and family about it.

“In the real estate business, customer service is the most important thing, so when we experience good customer service too, we want to give credit where it is due,” says REALTOR® Kaleb Streeter.

The way he sees it, real estate and the automotive sector are both customer-service centric.

Following are the three places where he has done business recently and was really impressed. Says the agent, “The staff that work there are friendly, they smile, they’re fast, they answer the phones—they’re just awesome!”

Sunshine Super Wash

Sunshine Super Wash offers a range of services, from auto wash and express detailing to self-serve bays and even a Pet Wash. The Streeter family are big fans of the express detailing, which they describe as “excellent quality for an excellent price. Their 30-minute express detail is like getting a brand-new vehicle and their service is fantastic, it’s out of this world,” says the agent.

The company also offers hand waxing, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, leather cleaning and conditioning. They only use products that are both effective and environmentally safe.

Even better, this is a family business that first opened in 1970 as Orillia Imperial Wash. Three generations of the Hewett family have been involved in running this successful entreprise.

Great Canadian Oil Change in West Ridge

At the Great Canadian Oil Change in West Ridge, they understand that cars are complex machines; they require routine maintenance in order to avoid potential costly breakdowns in the future. Their technicians can pinpoint any issues your vehicle may be having and follow up with a quick and efficient fix.

They perform regular maintenance to help keep your vehicle in top shape, and recommend drivers follow the service intervals in their owner’s manual, then come and see them for fast and friendly service—most of which can be performed without you ever having to leave your car. They perform drive-through oil changes and maintenance services and have been around since 1978, with over 100 locations.

Services include oil change, tire rotation and changeovers, air filter replacement, fuel system cleaning, battery services, headlight/taillight replacement, wiper blade replacement, radiator fluid service, differential fluid service, transmission fluid service and serpentine belt replacement.

Says Streeter, “The staff are friendly and we’re always greeted with smiles. My whole family goes there now, including my parents.”

Speedy Glass Orillia

At Speedy Glass Orillia they can repair or replace any type of automotive glass, whatever the make, model or age of the vehicle. They always try to repair your existing windshield before replacing it with a new one, which usually saves both time and money. Their glass is certified and guaranteed for life and they can help with drivers’ insurance claims.

You can also go to them for a wide range of accessories for cars and trucks. They carry remote starters, windshield wipers, trailer hitches, bike racks, deflectors, tonneau covers, truck bed liners, side bars and car floor mats. They also do camera recalibration, tinted windows and service RVs.

“I had a rain guard installed that was slipping off,” says Streeter, “and I think I was in to get a chip fixed. They fixed my window guard at the same time and charged me nothing. They were friendly in the waiting room and that just makes all the difference in the world.”

“I think it’s just kind of an important lesson to say, you know what, faces in business still matter. In all three of these businesses, you’re greeted by a person first. In a small town like Orillia, people crave that level of service.”
