The Cellar Singers invite you to an entertaining afternoon of comic opera, Saturday afternoon, May 4 at 3 p.m. at St. James’ Anglican Church, 58 Peter St. in Orillia.

H.M.S. Pinafore by Gilbert and Sullivan was first performed in 1878 and is still popular around the world today. This nautical tale of love across class division portrays a topsy-turvy world where absurdity is carried to logical conclusion, all the while mocking British institutions. Memorable tunes abound and we promise you’ll leave humming at least one.

Don’t miss this rollicking performance of H.M.S. Pinafore. It’s a matinée and suitable for all ages. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for those under 30, available online at thecellarsingers.com, from choristers, and at the door on the day of performance (cash or cheque).

The Cellar Singers are an adult choral organization under professional leadership, dedicated to providing and promoting artistic excellence in Simcoe, Muskoka, and beyond, through education, outreach and high-quality performance of the choral art.
