St. Paul's hosting Orillia mayoral candidates debate

Public welcome to attend Sept. 21 event, but there will be no questions permitted from members of the audience

Mark your calendar for an important event in this year’s municipal election, the mayoral candidate debate at St. Paul’s Centre’s Great Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.

All mayoral candidates have been informed of and invited to this important event, hosted by a special non-partisan organizing committee, and moderated by Ted Reeve. City of Orillia mayoral candidates Don McIsaac and Mason Ainsworth have accepted the invitation to attend.

The evening’s questions have been compiled from a variety of sources and stakeholders, and will be presented to the candidates in a traditional debate format. There will not be time for questions from the audience, or the media.

There will be questions on topics that matter most to Orillians, including the environment, leadership, development, housing, infrastructure, fiscal responsibility and many more.

Come out and be informed about the mayoral election, Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Centre, 62 Peter St. N., Orillia. General admission; no reserved seating.
