Orillia Matters, in partnership with the SPCA Orillia Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Max

Hey there, my name is Max and I am a three-year-old Shepherd mix. I am a super sweet boy with lots of energy. I love to run and play with all toys, and would love to live in a home with a large fenced yard for me to explore.

I would like an active home that will be able to keep up with me. I will need a bit of training to get me comfortable walking on leash and to help me work on my manners.

From the time I came into the Orillia Animal Centre I’ve been a very friendly boy. I love playing outside in the snow and enjoy going on walks with volunteers. I would prefer a home where someone is home with me for most of the day as I have a hard time being on my own.

I really like treats and already know how to do a bunch of fun tricks. Training me should be super easy as I am very food motivated.

I would probably do well in a home with other animals, but would like to meet any other canines first to make sure we will get along. I make friends with humans the second I meet them and would love to find my forever home soon. Don’t hesitate to come and visit me today on the adoption floor at the SPCA Orillia Animal Centre. I’ll be waiting to see you!
