ONTARIO: Police say Toronto gang members arrested in Thunder Bay drug bust

THUNDER BAY - Two 28-year-old males from the Greater Toronto Area are facing drug trafficking charges after police executed a warrant at a north side home. 

On Wednesday, Dec. 12, police executed a warrant at a residence on the 400 block of Waverly Street, where they found a large amount of what is suspected to be cocaine and fentanyl. The approximate street value of the drugs is $104,000. Police also seized approximately $53,000 in Canadian currency.

Emmanuel Kuffour and Randy Owusu of Toronto were arrested and charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Owusu was also charged with possession of false identification and impersonation.

Police said both males are gang members in a media release issued Monday.

The warrant was executed with the help of the help of Ontario Provincial Police, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and the Anishinabek Police Service.

Both have been remanded into custody with a future court date.
