Join the Orillia Concert Band, under the direction of Randy Hoover (left), on March 2nd to immerse yourself in the sounds of the Silver Screen. Guest Artist, vocalist Alexandra Teske (middle) will sing some popular pieces with the band from Casablanca and My Fair Lady and will sing the beautiful duet “Time to Say Goodbye” with Dean Jobin-Bevans (right).

Come to the movies with the Orillia Concert Band on March 2, 7:30 p.m. at St Paul’s Centre.

The Orillia Concert Band, under the direction of Randy Hoover invites you to enjoy “Memories from the Silver Screen!” Tap, whistle and hum along with such themes as The Magnificent Seven, Bond — James Bond and Great Movie Marches which includes themes from Bridge on the River Kwai and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Dream of romance, joy and heartache with Highlights from Évita and The Sound of Music.

As the jewel in the evening’s crown, the band will accompany the wonderful soprano voice of Alexandra Teske in “I Could Have Danced All Night” from My Fair Lady and As Time Goes By from Casablanca. And her lovely soprano will blend with the beautiful tenor of Dr. Dean Jobin-Bevans of Lakehead University to break your hearts with Time to Say Good-bye.

The Orillia Concert Band's euphonium player, Cal Landers, will also present a solo  a beautiful and mellow performance of Cinéma Paradiso.

The concert will take place at St. Paul’s Centre, 62 Peter St. N., Orillia, 7:30 pm on March 2. Doors open at 6:30.

Tickets available online or cash at the door:

Adults $25; Seniors $20; Post-Secondary Students $15; Youth (5-18) $10 Children under 5 Free.

For those who cannot attend in person, the concert will be livestreamed on the Orillia Concert Band’s YouTube Channel which will go live at 7:15.

The Orillia Concert Band is a 45 member recreational band based in the Orillia area, featuring wind, brass, and percussion instruments. Members range in age between 18 years to 81 years! The OCB presents a four-concert series each year plus charitable fund raisers and concerts for special events.
