Arts Orillia brings you Julie et l’univers by Compagnie de la Citadelle, March 22 at 7:30 p.m., live at the Orillia Opera House.

This stunning concert piano and dance work is inspired by a Jean-Paul Lemieux painting and set in a wintry landscape reminiscent of Lemieux’ childhood in Quebec City.

Julie et l’univers explores the interior lives of three young women on the cusp of adulthood, who alternate between the utter wonderment and discovery of youth and the uncertainty and loneliness of adolescence.

This hour-long experience is rooted in contemporary dance, ballet, and character work.

A magnificent choreography by Laurence Lemieux to the music of Franz Schubert’s Piano Sonata in B-Flat Major, brought to life in performance by the critically acclaimed Jeanie Chung.

Dancers Morgyn Aronyk- Schell, Sierra Chin Sawdy, and Claire Whitaker take the stage under the magical lighting design of Noah Feaver.

This is a unique offering, and a very special opportunity for the whole family, especially youth in arts programs who aspire to have their own special moment on stage. Don't miss out!

Tickets are $35, or $15 for Orillia Concert Association members and $15 dollars for Youth. Tickets are available here.
