Community Builders Awards: Remembering Chris Bellchambers, a selfless volunteer

Chris’ bright light continues to shine in Orillia as he is remembered for his positivity and dedication to our community

Chris Bellchambers, who passed away suddenly in 2021 at the age of 42, is remembered for his passion for our community.

For over 20 years, whenever there was an event or community gathering, whether it was a festival, carnival, parade or other celebration, Chris was there to lend a helping hand.

He took his volunteer roles seriously and encouraged others to get involved in giving back to the community as well. No job was too big or too small for Chris, and if he could help he would, how ever he could. Countless people and community groups benefited from Chris’ generosity and dedication.

Chris was known as a good soul with a big heart, a bright light who exemplified true community spirit and cared deeply for others.

His legacy will surely live on through those he inspired.

The Legacy Award is awarded posthumously to an individual who has created lasting change and measurable difference in our community through commitment and perseverance.

Thank you to the friends and family of Chris Bellchambers who are keeping his memory alive and have graciously accepted this award on his behalf. This award pays tribute to Chris' leadership, vision and ongoing legacy.

This award is proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Orillia.
