UPDATED: Boards report five new COVID cases at area schools since Friday

Five new COVID-19 cases have been reported at schools across Simcoe County since Friday.

Warnica Public School in south-end Barrie is reporting one case, with one classroom closed.

Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School in Angus is reporting two more cases, with one more classrooms closed. Adding to cases reported at the school on County Road 10 last week, there are now five total cases and five classrooms closed. An outbreak was declared at the school on Nov. 15.

Bradford District High School in Bradford is reporting one new case, and two classrooms closed. There are currently two total active cases at the school. 

St. Paul's Catholic School in Alliston is reporting one new case, with one classroom closed.

The schools remain open.

The school board and the health unit have not reported whether the individuals are students or staff members.
