There are now 11 total COVID-19 cases that have been confirmed at Trillium Manor by Simcoe County officials as of Saturday.

Five resident cases and six staff cases have been traced back to the Oro-Medonte unit in the county-run long-term care home in Orillia. The unit is currently in isolation, while other units at the home are in quarantine as a precaution.

The most recent staff case last worked in the home on Dec. 10 in the Oro-Medonte unit.

Testing of about 100 residents is being completed on Monday. Testing of all staff was last done on Dec. 16, and will be done again on Dec. 23 as part of regular testing protocol. Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital will be assisting in testing through their rapid testing pilot program.

An outbreak was declared at the facility by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit on Dec. 14.
