Gestures big and small appreciated by OSMH 'soldiers' (5 photos)

Join us in saluting the Soldiers' Spirit and those who risk their own health and the health of their families to care for people amid a global pademic

Editor's note: OrilliaMatters is partnering with Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Foundation to pay tribute to the front-line 'soldiers' who are going above and beyond the call of duty inside Orillia's hospital in what is expected to be a protracted battle against the COVID-19 global pandemic. We will endeavour to publish this every Friday until the pandemic passes.

It's been more than two months since the term COVID-19 entered our daily conversations. You can be forgiven if it seems much longer as the pandemic has dramatically altered our way of life.

That is especially evident inside OSMH, where new protocols and procedures have created a new normal in the fight against the deadly coronavirus.

While the battle continues, the community's generosity also continues. Whether it's a small donation of hot drinks and treats or a large donation of personal protective equipment, every gesture is appreciated by the hard-working 'soldiers' on the front lines.

We join the community in saluting the Soldiers' Spirit and those who risk their own health and the health of their families to care for people amid a global pademic. Thank you!

To support our troops, please consider a donation to the COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Fund: osmhfoundation.ca/donate.
