Local entertainers help buoy Soldiers' Spirits at OSMH (7 photos)

To date, weekly Essential Concert Series has raised more than $2,500 to help OSMH combat COVID-19

Editor's note: OrilliaMatters is partnering with Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH) Foundation to pay tribute to the front-line 'soldiers' who are going above and beyond the call of duty inside Orillia's hospital in what is expected to be a protracted battle against the COVID-19 global pandemic. We will endeavour to publish this every Friday until the pandemic passes.

There are many ways to support those in our community working on the front lines.

Adhering to public health guidelines is probably the most important thing you can do to help keep our health-care system operating smoothly.

Throughout the pandemic, the community has supported those who work at OSMH in a variety of ways - from painting rocks with hopeful messages to providing meals to hard-working staffers, to donating personal protective equipment and myriad other ways.

If you are looking for an entertaining way to support OSMH employees, why not tune into the weekly Essential Concert Series each Thursday night. These concerts benefit Soldiers’ COVID-19 Emergency Preparedness Fund.

Last night, Ron Douglas and Richie Benson provided the entertainment as the total raised by the concert series surpassed the $2,500 mark. Why not tune in next Thursday night! Tou can watch the show here.
