An employee at Zehrs in Orillia has tested positive for COVID-19.

Loblaw Companies Ltd. noted Thursday on its website that a "team member" had tested positive. The last day the employee worked was Dec. 7.

On its website, the company has a running list of COVID-19 cases at its locations.

Other recent cases at its stores in the area include Loblaws at 472 Bayfield St. in Barrie. That one was reported Dec. 8 and the employee who tested positive last worked Dec. 4.

The Collingwood Loblaws store has conducted "deep cleans" after six employees tested positive for COVID-19 between late November and Dec. 7.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is notified of all positive tests in the region and reaches out to any high-risk close contacts of known cases. It will only make a public announcement about potential exposure if it is unable to reach all close contacts.
