About Us

The Where Angels Play Foundation is a non-profit organization founded after the devastating Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012. It’s first tribute initiative, “The Sandy Ground Project”, consisting of 26 playground builds in memory of the 26 who lost their lives, was completed in just 18 months by firefights, police officers, teachers, and school and community volunteers. They have since completed over 50 playground builds.

Where Angel’s Play Canada was subsequently founded and their first playground build took place in June 2017 at Homewood Park in Orillia, ON. The playground was built in honour of Jacob Noble, who lost his lifelong battle with cerebral palsy just before his 16th birthday. May these playgrounds provide a symbol o fhope, recovery, and a return to normalcy. They are a gift to our youth in an effort to enhance and sustain their precious childhood.
