By now most Ontarians know what a scandalous, draconian and, I dare say, corrupt piece of legislation that provincial Bill 23 is.

Bill 23 destroys the ability of conservation authorities to mitigate the inevitable flooding events to come.

Bill 23 destroys the planning process and financial stability of municipal governments.

Bill 23 destroys the integrity of the Greenbelt. There is already enough land available to build the necessary housing.

The timing of Bill 23 is deliberately scheduled when most municipalities have new councils, are just getting organized and therefore at a huge disadvantage to respond.

Bill 23 does little to increase the supply of affordable housing. It only benefits the developers who are big funders of Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives. Is this corruption at its most obvious?

How can anyone with a shred of integrity support Bill 23 or the Progressive Conservative Party in Ontario?
