I would like to send a big shout-out of thanks to those who came to my assistance on Monday, March 13.

My car very inconveniently stalled in the left-turn lane at the light at the intersection of Monarch Drive and Coldwater Road. I called CAA, and while I was waiting, with my flashers going and trying to motion people to go around me, most people were accommodating my situation and changing lanes.

I’d like to thank the woman who got out of her car and physically pushed (my vehicle) around the corner to get me out of the way. I’d like to thank the gentleman who also assisted in trying to get me up the grade and into the parking lot of Boston Pizza, and to the young lads who added their muscle to the efforts. I’d like to thank the two women who helped with my cellphone frustration — it was giving me a challenge as well.

I’d like to thank the CAA driver who arrived shortly after and made sure I got to my mechanic without further incident.

It was a stressful and frustrating situation to find myself in, but I am very grateful to those out there who came to my rescue — even if it was simply to get me clear of blocking traffic.

Thank you to all.
